Kayla is now represented theatrically and commercially by Elizabeth Martin at Sunset Fire Entertainment, a management and production company based in Los Angeles.
Kayla's feature film script, Yiddish Club, was selected as a quarterfinalist in the Big Apple Film Festival's script competition!

Kayla received her Master’s Degree in screenwriting from Emerson College’s Writing for TV and Film program!
Kayla had the distinct opportunity to attend this year’s Sundance Film Festival through her graduate program. Spending the week networking with fellow filmmakers and creatives, pitching projects, watching films, learning from industry mentors, and finding some quiet time to write proved to be an invaluable experience.
Kayla appeared as Little Johnny Pasta, an original character she wrote and performed for “The Super Crazy Funtime Show”, a sketch comedy show at Caveat!
Kayla will be writing for and performing in College Radio’s sketch comedy show at the People’s Improv Theater this fall!
Kayla has been cast in Ben Langhorst’s musical, “Hartwell Church of God: The Musical (the Search for the Next Divine Pastor)”. The show will be produced as part of Ars Nova’s Ant Fest on June 24.
Kayla joins Young Ethel’s Bar-prov Experiment, where she will perform with the improv team Something, Something, Goblin the first two Thursdays of each month!

Kayla played Stephanie in “Metal Bird” - a new play written by Rebecca Kane and directed by Emily Jeppesen. Produced by the Tank, Metal Bird streamed live on their youtube channel and is now available to stream for $5.99 on CyberTank, the Tank’s on demand virtual programming site.
Kayla's original comedy pilot, *Delta Dawn*, made it to the second round of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition! This accolade marks Kayla's first foray into writing for television, and she can't wait to continue developing this story.
Kayla played Ariel in a virtual reading of The Tempest, produced by Relative Theatrics and broadcast on Facebook Live. The reading featured a fun drinking game in which a referee instructed the cast and virtual audience to drink at specified points throughout the performance. It was a blast!
Kayla filmed an episode for “Zooming In” - a brand new web series about connecting virtually during the pandemic, for which she also wrote three episodes! The series was produced by Zeynep Tozum and Jeanna Mahan, and directed by Jenna Mate. Coming soon!

Kayla acted in a commercial for Basements.com! All members of production - from cast to crew - adapted to our current public health emergency with the utmost professionalism, and a fun, safe time was had by all!
In honor of Star Wars Day (May the Fourth), Kayla played various characters in a virtual performance of “Space Wars: A Star Wars Christmas Carol Parody” produced by Chris Lemieux and the Branford Parks and Recreation department. Kayla also co-wrote the play. View the performance on youtube here!
